Getting Started with the AI Assistant

Buildero's AI assistant is a conversational tool built specifically for construction contractors. It understands your business — projects, crews, invoices, estimates — and can help you get things done faster by just asking in plain language.

Opening the AI Assistant

Click AI Assistant in the sidebar (the sparkle icon). A chat panel opens on the right side of the screen. You can also access the assistant from the floating chat button on any page.

What You Can Ask

The assistant is connected to your Buildero data, so you can ask business questions like:

• "What's the status of the Rivera project?"
• "Which invoices are overdue this month?"
• "How many hours did the crew log last week?"
• "Who is scheduled on the Main Street job tomorrow?"
• "Summarize the costs on the Johnson remodel"

You can also ask it to help you write things:

• "Write a payment reminder email for the Garcia invoice"
• "Draft a scope of work for a bathroom remodel"
• "Write a professional message to a client explaining a delay"

Bilingual Support

The AI assistant works in both English and Spanish. If you write to it in Spanish, it responds in Spanish. If you switch mid-conversation, it follows your lead. This is especially useful for communicating with Spanish-speaking crew members or clients.

Simply type in the language you prefer — no settings to change.

Getting the Best Results

• Be specific — "Show me overdue invoices over $1,000" gets better results than "show invoices"
• Ask follow-up questions — the assistant remembers the context of the current conversation
• Use it like a coworker — you don't need to phrase things formally, just ask naturally

What the AI Cannot Do

The AI assistant provides information and drafts content. It does not make changes to your data without your confirmation. For example, it can draft an invoice but won't send it — you review and send it yourself.
