Changelog

Every shipped improvement to Buildero, newest first.

  1. 2026-06-10
    Fix

    Mobile retrofit, wave one

The web app now holds up on a phone. List pages got responsive toolbars, the navigation drawer no longer buries its bottom actions, shell banners stack correctly, and the scheduler strip scrolls instead of overflowing the viewport.

This is the first wave of a broader mobile pass, verified at 375px across the primary surfaces.

  2. 2026-06-10
    FeatureAI

Chat redesign with a connected entity layer

The AI chat — the center of Buildero — was rebuilt. The composer is now a two-row layout that works properly on mobile, and conversations are grounded in your job graph: the assistant references estimates, invoices, change orders, and crew as entity chips you can open in place.

Chat history also got richer previews, so older threads are easier to find and pick back up.

  3. 2026-06-09
    FixAI

AI mode selector now drives the model

The model selector in chat looked interactive but wasn't — every web conversation was silently routed to the default tier. It is now clickable, and your choice actually determines which Claude tier handles the request. Quick questions get the fast model; heavy drafting gets the deep one.

  4. 2026-06-07
    Feature

    Live crew map

Contractors get a live map of today's field activity. Workers appear with recency rings that show how fresh their last clock event is, projects carry an active-worker count badge, and tapping a worker opens a detail panel with their current status.

It runs on the same GPS data that already powers time tracking — no new hardware, nothing extra to set up.

  5. 2026-06-07
    Feature

Portal upgrades: visual selection and a sub portal

Clients can now choose between proposal tiers interactively — swipe through the options and select visually instead of replying to an email.

Subcontractors get a phone-first portal of their own: COI upload, schedule view, bid acceptance, and payment requests, all from a single link with no login required.

  6. 2026-06-06
    FeatureAI

    Versions tab for AI-drafted documents

Estimates, invoices, and change orders drafted in chat now keep a version history. Every AI revision is saved as a snapshot you can browse in the new Versions tab and restore with one click — iterating with the assistant no longer risks losing a good draft.

  7. 2026-06-03
    Feature

    Weather-aware scheduling

The scheduler now pulls a 14-day forecast for each project's location and flags exterior work scheduled on likely rain days. You see the conflict before the crew does — move the task or accept the risk, instead of finding out on site.

  8. 2026-05-11
    FeatureAI

    Smart composer

The chat composer now recognizes what you drop into it. Attach a receipt photo, a plan PDF, or a spreadsheet, and a pipeline router picks the right extractor automatically — expenses from receipts, line items from plans — based on file type and what your prompt asks for.

Four extractors shipped at launch, with no manual mode switching.
